    Default 10/9 Market Prediction Game

Market Prediction Game is open to anyone. Place your prediction on where you
think the DOW will end for the day.
Pick a number, above or below zero, that you think the market will end that day. Prizes (virtual) are awarded at the end of each month.
    · No retractions of a bid once it is posted
    · One bid per participant [includes all 3 lists]
    · Bid reservations are not allowed
    · Overnight Prediction Bids: Window closes at 6:00 am EST
    · A List: Window closes at 12 noon EST
    · B List: Window closes at 3 pm EST
    · Bids for the Overnight Prediction List can be made after the closing bell, and posted on that days’ Prediction List, or on the Overnight Prediction List.
    · All bids will be considered positive if no +/- (up or down) designation is included by Windows Close.
    · Triple Crown Winner: 3 consecutive days of winning in the same place.
    · Trifecta: 3 consecutive days of winning in 1st place.
    · Five Star Win: 3 consecutive days of winning 1 place on each list.
    · Royal Run: placing at all 3 places in the same list the past 3 days
. Board Outages: Official List must have at least 3 bidders. If the overnight list is present, scrap the A List or the B List, depending on the glitch. At least 2 lists to make it official. On normal days three bidder rule does not apply.
Disclaimer: Bids are purely from speculation and are for entertainment purposes only.

Hey Zazzu! C'mon and join us. You can bid on the overnight from after the day's market closes until 0600 the next morning. Figure out where to bid by seeing what the futures are. You're best going in around 10;00PM for the futures and the person who starts that thread usually says what the futures are.

    For Futures I use http://money.cnn.com/data/premarket/ and/or https://www.finviz.com/futures.ashx

Remember, futures are an "educated guess" by highly paid market "experts." (they have no idea either)

Or you can bid on the morning A-list which is open from 6:00am until noon. The DOW opens at around 9:30 am. To check on how the market is doing and maybe give an idea on how to bid, I use https://finance.google.com/finance?cid=983582
which shows a chart and where the DOW is.

Lastly, you can bid on the B-list if you wish. It's open from 12:01pm until 3:00 pm.

Despite what you see some people do here (Hammer for instance), you can only bid on one list per daily market cycle. In other words, if you bid on the overnight, you may not bid on the next day's A or B list. If you bid on the A, you can't bid on the B. Just one list.

Maximum points can be gained bidding on the Overnight. 1st, 2nd and 3rd places there get the player 9,8, or 7 points respectively.
On the A list, 1st, 2ns, and 3rd places earn the player 6, 5, or 4 points respectively.
    On the B List, points are 3, 2, and 1 for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place.

I...I can't find anything wrong with Groucho's summary.

I mean, I know he put something obviously incorrect in there, but I haven't found it.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. -- Proverbs 3:5-6

If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor. -- John 12:26

Groucho, I have saved this to my files, for future use. So well written. Thanks. I need to find a way to bring more people on board. Maybe I'll entitle a thread "Hiliary, caught in bed with....." and then put the description below to join our fun! What do ya think?

This just in from our communications in our Community....

The Ball Field is closed until further notice. There is a hole in the outfield behind second base. Geo-Tech, Inc. (environmental engineering firm) is coming out to evaluate the situation and advise us on repairs. Only authorized personnel will be permitted on the field until it is ready to re-open.
could it be a sink hole?
We have already had a very big sink hole right inside this community. At an intersection in one of the developments off the main road. Size of half a large house. And very very deep.
I'll keep you informed....like you really care
