Who is going to fight whom and where and for what? In 1861, there were identifiable sides, geographically separate, with different cultures. Now we are much more intermixed. We also have a gigantic government that is armed to the teeth and ready to stomp on anybody who tries to start something. I think something would have to happen that changes the reach of the government before any sort of civil war could occur. There is too much friction to start the slide as things are.

Probably. I cringe every time I hear someone say that a "blood and guts" revolution is our only answer to this country's woes. Others may disagree.

Everyone has a plan until they are punched in the mouth. Years ago I encouraged folks to read about the Spanish Civil War, which oddly enough started After the Stalinists took power, and quickly ruined the nation's agricultural and business economy plunging Spain into famine. When the Commies Lost power they launched a nation wide attack 30 days later murdering Priests and Nuns as well as unarmed Govt workers. The ensuing war was actively supported by the Soviets with heavy weapons, even troops and just like today the European Press endorsed the lie that this was a Civil War. Sounds all to similar to today's events does it not?
One of the most effective tactics used by the Commies was the mass enslavement of strategic cities, the enslavement of it's populations and forced labor, often followed by mass executions. The country side fell victim to roving "armies", more murderous bands, that stripped the land, enslaved farms, and filled more mass graves.
In CW2 American cities will become battlegrounds for any number of reasons, the initial attacks will take-out infrastructure and the nation will devolve into Spain/Iran. Fighters and weapons will come in from north and south as well as fly "UN Personal" into cities like Chicago; muslims will align with the Globalist elite as a means of gaining arms and logistic support, they will make-up many of the commando teams in the initial assaults then linger to spread terror in the cities and countryside to a lesser extent. Citizen militia will form around tribal lines, families, school sports teams, religion, ethnic, geographic orientation, but they will be very, very slow to get formed, trained and supported and transported to conflict zones. There will also be a huge propaganda effort on the part of the LIMPs.
I do not discount WMD attacks on centers of conservative population.
It's going to be a very bad period in US history
