Maybe he is trying to boost the economy the way the big "O" did. With quite a few AR manufactures going out of business and Remington near bankruptcy, The rush to acquire a new rumored to be soon banned fully semi auto assault rifles will no doubt give a boost to the firearms industry!!!

Is it still too early to say "WE TOLD YOU SO"?

I'll be the first to admit, I figured that Trump was a ringer for the globalists to get Hillary into the Oval Office but the more I see out of him, the more I realize that he was the flip side of the coin.

He promised EXACTLY what we wanted and the majority took him as one of their own.

He said he'd "lock her up", and yet it's not happened.
He said he'd build a wall, yet there's no wall.
He said he'd end DACA, yet he's not doing that either.
He said he'd get us out of Syria, yet now we're facing the prospects of being involved in a war with Turkey OVER Syria.
He said he'd get rid of the ACA, but that's still on the books as well.
He said he'd be tough on defending the 2nd Amendment, but now he's siding with the gun grabbers.

There's more and more detail coming out about Trump and the photo says it all. He's a globalist, just like Hillary. Everyone's cheering about how he's rebuilding the economy, but no one is stopping to think about the fact that this isn't at odds with a globalist's world view. They NEED us economically strong but still lazy, distracted, and disarmed.

    We've been had.

IMHO with the TALK, Trump has all the democrats on his side, so all he needs is about 4 in the Senate. Don't know the break down in the House dem vs rep. all Trump needs is enough to get it passed. And we already know that some rep. in the house are for this.

Once it gets to his desk, he will sign it, because it is what he wants.

Signed, sealed, delivered, and done. Some would call that Winning.

Way back in the good old days (not) when the USSR existed, and Communism was in full bloom, everyone in the soviet union was employed. They didn't have any rights, but they were employed.

The workers got paid the same whether they produced a little, or a lot. So the workers, not being big dummies, realized that, and produced as little as possible, after all they got paid the same regardless.

Everyone was employed, but no rights. No rights to bear arms, no freedom of speech, no freedom of religion, no right to a fair trial, and 6 million people died in the gulags.

Folks today forget that in the twentieth-century government was the biggest mass murderer of their own people. The slaughters were usually preceded by gun registration and then gun confiscation.

Let me give you a hand with that memory:

Let's start with a number: 262 million. That's the number of unarmed people the late Prof. R. J. Rummel estimated governments murdered in mass killings he termed "democide" during the 20thcentury.

"This democide murdered 6 times more people than died in combat in all the foreign and internal wars of the century," he wrote.
Unsurprisingly, the bloodiest body count was run up by totalitarian regimes, though authoritarians were busy stacking upthe corpses, too, if in smaller piles.

Democracies were also responsible for unjustifiable deaths, especially in subduing resistance in their colonial possessions (think: Belgian Congo) and in indiscriminate bombing of civilian targets during wars (think:Hiroshima), but to a far lesser degree than Communists, Nazis, and over decorated generalissimos.
Rummel's 1997 book, Power Kills, stated his case most strongly, but he nicely summarized the argument on his website:

It is true that democratic freedom is an engine of national and individual wealth and prosperity. Hardly known, however, is that freedom also saves millions of lives from famine, disease, war, collective violence, and democide (genocide and mass murder). That is, the more freedom, the greater the human security and the less the violence. Conversely, the more power governments have, the more human insecurity and violence. In short: to our realization that power impoverishes we must also add that power kills.
