Despite Media Hate, Trump Continues to Rack Up the Victories

The media has not ignored the President during his first 15 months in office. In fact, they have covered President Trump more aggressively than any other President, ever.
From Inauguration Day (January 20) through the end of 2017 (December 31), the three evening newscasts aired 3,430 stories that talked about either President Trump or his administration, totaling 99 hours, 3 minutes of airtime – about 34 percent of all evening news.

Thus, one out of every three minutes of broadcast evening news coverage was devoted to the Trump story last year, a new Media Research Center (MRC) study shows.

Sadly, according to several studies the media has also covered the President in an incredibly biased manner. 90%+ of the broadcast media’s reporting on Trump and his administration has been… NEGATIVE.
The new study of major broadcast coverage reveals that 90 percent of statements made by reporters and nonpartisan sources the last three months on ABC, NBC and CBS evening newscasts about Mr. Trump and his administration were negative…
“Even as the media whine about about Trump, their hostile coverage shows no let up. Our study of news in June, July and August found an identical rate of 91 percent negative coverage — which means TV news is unchanged in its hostility toward the president,” Mr. Noyes said.

Pew Research adds that over his first year in office, the media coverage of Trump has been mostly negative. From the information they’ve gathered, we see that more than 60% of the mainstream media coverage of President Trump has been negative!
To put that into perspective they drew up this handy-dandy little chart:

Yes, President Obama’s coverage was only 20% negative and and more than 40% positive.
Interestingly, both Trump and Obama shared similar approval ratings after their first year in office — this, in spite of the dramatically different way the two men were covered by the media.
In fact, if you just went by the media coverage, you might think that President Trump’s first year in office was a complete disaster for our nation… but the exact opposite is true. 2017 may well have been America’s best year in the new millennium.
Here are some of the big Trump accomplishments that you might have missed – because the media was ignoring them.

#1: The USA Finally becomes the World’s Leading Energy Producer

The last century was marked byAmerica’s continuous, and almost quixotic attempts at becoming energy ‘independent.’ US Presidents from Roosevelt to Nixon to Clinton delivered speech after speech promising that America would soon be energy independent and that our citizens would no longer live at the whims of energy producing nations like Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, or Russia. For 100 years this seemed like a pipe dream. A fantasy uttered by politicians who hoped to win elected office by selling unrealistic fairy tales to uneducated voters. Even during the Obama years, the possibility that we might soon lead the world in energy production seemed to be growing more and more distant.

Then came Trump and his goal, not of energy independence, but of complete domination of the energy market. The President immediately began cutting regulations and opening untapped energy fields, and now — just over 1 year since his inauguration — the United States is preparing to surpass Russia as the world’s largest provider of oil and natural gas.
The U.S. is primed to lead the world in oil and gas production.
“With all the implications, this is the most important transformation we’re seeing within the oil and gas industry,” Fatah said while rolling out the IEA’s World Energy Outlook for 2017…
The country’s anticipated energy production dominance will be a result of a “shale revolution.”
“The U.S. is becoming the undisputed leader of oil and gas production worldwide,” Birol said.
Birol went on to call the growth in oil production within the U.S. “unprecedented” for both its size and pace of growth and compared the increases to Saudi Arabia 50 years ago.

If you missed the news that the USA was finally the world’s most important energy producing nation, don’t blame yourself; the media barely mentioned it.

#2: The USA is Finally Focusing Real Effort and Care on our Veterans
Politicians are always talking about caring for our Veterans as if the chief concern of every lawmaker is protecting those who have protected us. Sadly, these words are often empty, and for years our veterans have suffered with poor healthcare and little support from the very government agency that was created to ensure none of them would fall through the cracks. President Obama promised that he would solve the problems in the Veterans Administration, but he never did. In fact, the problems grew more insidious and systemic under Obama’s watch. President Trump also promised to clean up the mess at the VA, but unlike Obama he seems to be succeeding.

President Trump has pushed through 3 major reforms meant to improve the lives of our Veterans, but you might have missed them because the media was awfully quiet about them.
The first, the Veterans Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act, will alleviate the claims backlog that veterans have long suffered through. Now they’ll have access to a more efficient, streamlined service and can have their claims adjudicated much quicker. This is the first update to the appeals process since the 1930s. The second, the Harry W. Colmery Veterans Educational Assistance Act, reauthorizes and improves the post- 9/11 GI Bill that helps veterans get education benefits. The last, the VA Choice and Quality Employment Act, opens up more options for veterans’ health care.

#3: Deregulation leads to Economic Boom.

The media has tried ignoring how well the nation’s economy is doing, but things have been going so well that they’ve been forced to report on it. They’ve tried to pretend that President Trump had no role in the skyrocketing stock market, and that he had nothing to do with rising consumer confidence, or the booming jobs market. Even as they attempt to ignore the President’s work to revive our economy, the reality is that President Trump has played a large role in helping us to rebuild after the long years of the Obama morass.

The two chief tools that President Trump has used to rebuild our flailing economy is his rhetoric and his efforts at deregulating the market.
From the moment President Trump began campaigning, he was assuring small businesses and big businesses alike that he would be friendly to their interests. He promised to cut taxes, cut regulations, and do his very best to stay out of their way. These words heartened America’s business sector, and the moment that President Trump won the election the markets responded, believing that Trump would do as he said.

Then, as soon as he entered office, President Trump charged his cabinet to begin cutting regulations and wasteful spending wherever they could.
The administration has cut 22 regulations for every new rule introduced, President Donald Trump announced at the White House Thursday.
Agencies and departments issued 67 deregulatory actions and imposed only three new rules in fiscal year 2017, according to senior administration officials. The number far exceeded Trump’s goal through his executive order to cut two old rules for any new regulation proposed.
“Within the first eleven months, we canceled or delayed over 1,500 planned regulatory actions, more than any previous president, by far,” Trump said. “And you see the results, when you look at the stock market, the results of companies, and when you see companies coming back into our country.”
“Instead of eliminating two old regulations for every one new regulation, we have eliminated 22” he said. “Twenty-two. That’s a big difference. We aimed for 2 for 1, and in 2017, we hit 22-1.”
A senior official said the administration deregulatory moves were taken in careful and mindful ways and have saved $8.1 billion in lifetime net regulatory costs…
The roll back in regulations is a stunning contrast to the Obama administration, which imposed a record 600 major regulations, adding rules that cost the economy $100 million or more at a rate of every three days.
The Trump administration has withdrawn or delayed 1,579 planned regulatory actions. This includes 635 regulations that were withdrawn, 244 regulations that were made inactive, and 700 regulations that were delayed.

Even more exciting is the fact that the administration has said they will be even more aggressive in cutting regulations in 2018.
Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said Friday that President Trump is “systematically” removing hundreds of regulations put in place by the Obama administration.
“The president has already knocked out some 860 rules and regulations from the Obama administration, and every day we’re finding more and more to do. Remember, Obama put in something like 7,000 new rules and regulations just in the last two years he was in office,” Mr. Ross said on Fox Business.

These measures, more than anything else in Washington, D.C., are the reason that America’s economy now seems to be clicking on all cylinders.

Sadly, the media has largely ignored the Trump administration’s historic efforts to get our nation back on track, economically speaking, and instead has dubiously credited the Obama administration’s disastrous policies as the reason the economy is now reviving.

The media is doing its best to hide President Trump’s success, so you, as a media consumer, will have to work even harder to see past the lies and obfuscation to the truth. Don’t let them keep you in the dark about the good things taking place across our nation and around our world today.
