The next two states to fall are likely FL and GA. They just missed going blue by a very small number. Trump's stumping in both those states bought us a little time but not much. The behavior of some of those newly elected Representatives is a good indicator of just far our nation has fallen in the last forty years. We lose so much heritage as the WWII generation continues to dies off and is replaced by what we have now.

You nailed it, Rusty. Generally, the Greatest Generation was disiplined, frugal and had common sense. My generation, the boomers, started to fail in these categories. The later ones, ending with Millennials, have totally succumbed to Hedonism/socialism, even worse. A generation that can't figure out its gender is not going to make it. We are toast.

    Tell that to Californian voters.

One of the reasons that the greatest generation is so revered is that they gave us the socialist programs that have helped to build and preserve our greatness.

    Exactly.

The generations of the 20s and the 40s sold their progeny into slavery, embracing every facet of socialism.....THEN.

And the average dupe “conservative” of today can’t see that he’s 100 years late in calling a spade a spade.

If it were not in effect., as per the last election, ...a small grouping of urban areas...primarily in NY and CA would have the ability to tell the rural areas and folks living there that they should take a hike......our founding fathers were well aware of how a small group of people could gain control and dictate how large areas of rural folks would be disenfranchised if the popular vote was all important and would be the final determining factor as to who would be president. Go check a map of the USA in the last election and see which were red areas and which were blue areas.

This was a big step toward turning our form of government into a direct Democracy. Now, because of the Seventeenth Amendment, state governments lost the power they had to restrain the Federal government.

If the tyrants succeed in implementing direct election of the President, the Republic will be dead and we will effectively become a Democracy. A Democracy is, as many have said, is two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for supper. It will be mob rule.
    Amen brother!

Whoever is in power tends to rig things as far as they are able to solidify their power. Recent examples are Maryland where the democrats have done so; NC where the republicans have done so. Just this afternoon I heard that the SCOTUS is taking up those cases.

The founders specified that it's the people that have the votes, votes not proportioned by wealth or acreage owned.

It is fine by me as I stopped voting for about a dozen reasons years ago.
The Electoral Collage was created to keep the peasant class from directly electing the Ruling class Corporate CEO.
    Voting is worthless and immoral.
Secret ballots are a complete fraud.
Look a section 6 of Lysander Spooners letter to Grover Cleveland.
