President Trump plans to use remarks from the Diplomatic Reception Room on Saturday afternoon to propose a notable immigration compromise, according to sources familiar with the speech.

The offer is expected to include Trump’s $5.7 billion demand for wall money in exchange for the BRIDGE Act — which would extend protections for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) — and also legislation to extend the legal status of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders, according to a source with direct knowledge.

Jared Kushner and Mike Pence have led the crafting of this deal and the negotiations with members, according to White House officials.

Even some top Republicans are skeptical Trump's overture will be enough to break the logjam.

• Advocates for the plan argue that by offering the new proposal, Trump is showing he’s willing to negotiate while Pelosi remains unmoved.

Trump is playing them for chumps.

Yes, he is prepared to live with this deal, hoping to win as many DACA folks as possible....yes, who will vote (legally) some day?? He offered something on DACA last time.

and he knows that the recalcitrant fool that is Speaker...and Schumer who want a never ending flow of new Deceivcrats coming across the border will reject the offer.

Either way, he wins....in the view of 2020.

This guy is a master of the Political game...i.e. the ethical game, not the unethical game championed by the Deceivocrats. Make no mistake about it, Trump will chant this at the forthcoming SOTU, wherever it is held.

The key point is that Trump is negotiating with the American people, not the fools Pelosi and Schumer....and they don't have a clue how to counter with facts...the only arrows that they have in their quiver is DECEPTION....Hence, Deceivocrats.

Now,

1. Declare a National Emergency.
2. Proceed to build the wall with the funds available in Corps of Eng. budget.
3. Beat the Communists at their own game. File a lawsuit 'against yourself' in a favorable circuit.....one other than the twisted 9th. Why? There aint no way that the radical Communists are going to allow the wall to be built without a legal challenge....even if, it only is a speed bump, and not a road block.
4. Trade DACA relief later, for a MUCH BIGGER price.

What we need is for the illegals to protest to Pelosi and Schumer and say they would like this.

Hopefully, more Americans will see who is really having the temper tantrum and not caring about them.

Good. He made a HUGE offer. If they refuse it then the optics for the shutdown shift completely to them. Not that you'll see it in the MSM, but you're only about 2 weeks ago from Whoopi Goldberg cussing at Pelosi on the View.

Oh come on. Remember the Affordable Health Care Act and its mandates? That was basically the Heritage Foundation's proposal. A plan generated by conservatives. Obama went with that rather than the single-payer plan that most of his supporters wanted. That was infuriating to the Republicans as well as Democrats, for different reasons.

Yep, there's a lot of mocking from both liberals and conservatives who are not on board with the Trump Party. The Late Show and the Daily Show are some prime examples.
