He's right. How many deaths in the US so far? All these viruses are the "one that will wipe out the world"! I overreact over real deaths...like abortion.

DOW closed DOWN 123 points. Towards the end of the session news broke that 83 people who recently visited China are now in voluntary quarantine in New York area.

Coronavirus concerns on New York's Long Island see 83 being monitored

" Officials further stressed that the 83 individuals being monitored aren’t necessarily exhibiting possible symptoms of COVID-19, but that they had recently come from an area where there are confirmed cases. The individuals are being asked to quarantine themselves for a period of 14 days based on flight logs."

US Military Braces for Base Lockdowns in Germany as Coronavirus Cases Rise

    25 Feb 2020

"The U.S. military is bracing for coronavirus cases to rise in Germany, potentially putting thousands of troops on lockdown or restricted movement, according to the head of U.S. European Command.

"We're anticipating an increase in the number of cases reported in Germany," Air Force Gen. Tod Wolters said in response to questions from Arkansas Republican Sen. Tom Cotton during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing Tuesday.

The general's comments come as the virus has spread rapidly in recent weeks, with more than 80,000 cases diagnosed in 34 countries and at least 2,700 deaths, according to the World Health Organization. Germany has 16 confirmed cases, Deutsche Welle reports, though that number is expected to grow.

Wolters, who also serves as NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe, said the military preparations are underway following recent base facility closures in Vicenza, Italy.

Roughly 7,000 U.S. service members are stationed in Vicenza. About 70% percent of those troops are on accompanied tours with spouses and children and are unable to access on-base schools and child care facilities, gyms, chapels and other public buildings. Approximately 35,000 troops reside in Italy altogether, according to Wolters.

Wolters said there is a "50-50" chance that the closures in Vicenza will be extended following an Army guideline issued Sunday that closed community and public gathering venues through this week, as reported by Stars and Stripes. According to Reuters, Italy had recorded 322 confirmed cases of coronavirus as of Monday, mostly in its northern regions. No cases have been reported in Vicenza.

Similar military measures are underway in the Pacific.

At a joint Pentagon press briefing with South Korean Defense Minister Jeong Kyeong-doo, Defense Secretary Mark Esper said that Army Gen. Robert Abrams, commander of U.S. Forces Korea, is "looking at scaling back" training exercises with Republic of Korea forces until the coronavirus cases are contained.

"The situation is quite serious," Esper said Monday.

One U.S. military dependent has tested positive for the coronavirus, named COVID-19 by the WHO, and there are at least 13 confirmed cases among South Korean service members. The dependent, believed to be the first-known U.S. military case, is the widow of a retired soldier living in South Korea."

Trump Is Furious at CDC for Spooking Stock Market With Coronavirus Updates, Says Report

As the coronavirus outbreak worsens across the world, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has carried out its job description and given Americans regular updates and advice to keep themselves safe. However, the briefings have reportedly left President Donald Trump very angry. The Washington Post reports that, during his trip to India over the past few days, the president has become more and more agitated with the CDC and the effect its warnings have had on the U.S. stock markets. Trump reportedly believes the updates have spooked investors, and some White House officials are deeply unhappy with how the situation has been handled by Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar. Trump publicly played down the threat of coronavirus Tuesday while he was reportedly becoming increasingly furious about the stock market’s slide. U.S. markets plummeted for the second straight day Tuesday, bringing the Dow Industrial index’s total loss over the past four days to about 2267 points, or about $1.7 trillion in market value.

From the beginning Trump has been in bed with Wall Street fat cats. Trump has done everything in his power to prop up the artificially high stock market. He has even tried to control the [independent] Federal Reserve and he still insists the Fed go to negative interest rates. Now Trump wants to do what the Communist Chinese government has been accused of doing... withholding information from the public !!

The survival rate is nearly 98%, if you believe the communist Chinese government.
