    Default Second Stimulus ??

Stock market keeps going up on news of a possible second stimulus... then down again when Democrats and Republicans repeatedly can't agree on WHO gets HOW MUCH.

Reportedly, demon-rats want to spend a fortune to bail out their fellow demon-rat cities/states and send stimulus money to hordes of ILLEGAL ALIENS [while sneaking in terrible open-border insanity] !!

Repub "Scrooges" hate to "waste" money to bail out ALL American citizens who have been negatively affected by draconian government lockdowns... but they are demanding a clause be added to prevent covid lockdown lawsuits !!

Since both political parties are so full of themselves and their own political agendas they can't be bothered to agree on a simple no-pork stimulus bill to help ALL American citizens and small businesses who have been negatively affected by draconian government covid lockdown... WHY should either Democrat or Republican voters bother to vote for the self-absorbed elitist oligarchs?!

BOTH SIDES are playing football with the second stimulus bill to push their own political agendas!

Reportedly, Repubs included $1.75 Billion for a new FBI headquarters in their covid stimulus bill.

Both sides. I think this will come just before election happens. Not sure what the heck this food in a package tub with Trump signature is all about, but just like the letter from Trump I got with the first stimulus checks came. And a small amount of raise in COLA for those on SS. And now it just came out today that because food prices have gone up so much that those on Food Stamps will also be getting more per month. ANd when this 2nd check come to me a new computer is looking more hopeful each passing day.

President urges stimulus deal, but obstacles remain

White House officials have expressed optimism to outside advisers that Mnuchin and Pelosi can approach agreement next week

    October 3, 2020

President Trump on Saturday called for Congress to pass a stimulus package, urging swift action while being treated for the novel coronavirus despite significant obstacles remaining between negotiators over an agreement.

White House officials have in recent days sought with increasing urgency to secure a stimulus deal amid new signs of weakness in the U.S. economy and Trump's flagging polling numbers ahead of the election in November. The president's sudden hospitalization on Friday threatened to inject a new element of uncertainty into the already delicate talks, although negotiations continued into the weekend.

"OUR GREAT USA WANTS & NEEDS STIMULUS. WORK TOGETHER AND GET IT DONE," Trump tweeted on Saturday afternoon from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Trump's push for a stimulus package comes as the pace of the economic recovery wobbles and evidence mounts of permanent job loss in certain sectors. American Airlines and United Airlines announced earlier this week that they would furlough as many as 32,000 workers, and the restaurant industry has warned of a wave of permanent small business closures in the winter without additional federal aid.

Adding further uncertainty to the talks, three Republican senators have tested positive for the virus in recent days. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced Saturday that Senate floor proceedings would be postponed until Oct. 19 amid fears of the virus's spread in the Capitol, but negotiations between Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) are expected to continue. Mnuchin and Pelosi have so far tested negative for the virus. Mnuchin's latest negative test was on Saturday, according to one person granted anonymity to share the treasury secretary's test results.

Pelosi and Mnuchin revived bipartisan talks earlier this week and expressed optimism that an agreement could be reached. White House officials have in recent days privately expressed confidence that they could secure at least the outlines of a deal by the middle of next week, according to one person who spoke on the condition of anonymity to share details of private conversations.

But significant outstanding disagreements cloud the prospects for a deal. Congressional Democrats have pushed for this stimulus package to cost $2.2 trillion, while Mnuchin has said the administration is "in the neighborhood" of $1.5 trillion - a wide gulf of $700 billion that will be hard to close in a matter of days.

Reminds me of two wolves fighting over which bite of the sheep they take next. Either way, the sheep still dies.

There will be additional stimulus payments which will morph into regular distributions. When, I do not know. My guess, sometime in 2021 we will see what will amount to Universal Basic Income.

This has nothing to do with COVID, unemployment numbers or political posturing. It is simply because the fiat Petro Dollar is dying. The turmoil we are being presented will increase.

Our monetary system began in 1973. In 1971, Nixon took us off the gold standard. In 1973, Kissinger arranged the current paradigm where the USA protects OPEC and the world must utilize dollars. Not tied to an asset, the Fed is free to print. And they have.

Pull out any piece of cash. At the top is “Federal Reserve Note”. “Note” is a banking term for loan. It is a debt. Every dollar in existence (physical or digital) has interest attached to it. This is why regardless of which party is in power, the national debt has increased each year. It has to, or, the entire system collapses.

The nature of our currency coupled with an understanding or where we are on the exponential curve explains why the Fed’s balance sheet topped $7 Trillion this year.

So, you can count on more deposits coming your way. But, it will not really benefit you; it is a precursor to the transition.

I'm thinking all this stimulus is a bread line, minus the bread and the line. When stimulus ends the reality of the depression begins.
The house of cards built by the Fed along with our political leaders is about to tumble.

Took the thought right out of my head...so true.

So glad there are still people like yourself out here and understand it. Might not do any good other than to help one prepare for the coming storm.

When General Washington was trying to keep the troops fed, clothed and armed at Valley Forge, his pleas to the Continental Congress fell for the most part on deaf ears. He did not have the luxury of a stimulus package to bail him out. Covid 19 shutdown? Our ancestors would be so ashamed of what we have become.
