I have enough ammo here to defend against a small group. I lack the ammo or fortifications to defend against a larger, organized and armed group. It would be necessary to retreat. But where to? If it gets to me, then it's already everywhere else.

Remember, it costs no more to kill a General than it does a Private, when you have limited supplies, make the most of it and take out any identifiable leaders first. Disorganized mobs tend to lack the discipline to fight effectively without leaders.

Yeah, this place isn't defensible in the long run. I'm not surrounded by enough like-minded folk and the racial mix here is hot ALL the time, not just now. Hawaii will calve off the dying corpse of the United States like Alaska and Puerto Rico. Likely what rises here would not be pro-freedom. It'd either be something akin to the old Hawaiian kingdom or a People's Republic of California.
