Default Trump sending elderly $200 discount cards to buy drugs

Many seniors on SS don't have enough money for food [or shelter!]

But hey, Trump is sending them drug cards so they can buy drugs!

In other words, Trump wants them to "eat cake" and buy Babylonian drugs at a discount!

Obviously, Trump has lived too long among Florida's filthy rich elderly Edomite-jews!

Trump Says Elderly to Get $200 for Drugs in Bid for Senior Vote

(Bloomberg) - President Donald Trump said that Americans in the Medicare program for the elderly and disabled will be sent $200 discount cards for prescription drugs within weeks, potentially putting cash in their pockets ahead of his November re-election.

"Nobody's seen this before. These cards are incredible," Trump said Thursday in a speech outlining what he called an "America First Health Plan" in Charlotte, North Carolina. "The cards will be mailed out in coming weeks. I will always take care of our wonderful senior citizens."

Trump didn't explain in his speech what program or authority would allow the government to provide the cards. Assuming they are sent to 33 million Medicare beneficiaries, the figure Trump used, the cards would cost about $6.6 billion.

Money for the cards will be drawn from a demonstration program Medicare uses to test new payment systems and other projects, and the cost will be offset by future savings generated from new price cuts Trump has ordered for drugs bought by Medicare, according to a White House official. The cards can be used for prescription drugs co-pays, the official said, but didn't elaborate.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services referred questions about the cards to the White House.

Trump is struggling to secure the votes of older Americans with less than six weeks before the election. Several recent polls indicate his re-election opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden, is tied or leading Trump among people 65 and older, a turnabout from 2016 when the president won the senior vote by a comfortable margin.

"Joe Biden won't be doing this," Trump said in his speech.

HEY HOW COOL. I LIKE IT. Pays or any co-pays, that helps a lot of elderly folks. Thanks President Trump for thinking about us. And couple that with a COLA raise which would be much but it all helps. SEE the Glass IS half full. Not half empty like you doom and gloomers think it is. What a downer it must be for you guys to get up every morning and see how you can depress everyone in the world today. Sure must be a lonely way to live.

That won't even buy an ounce anymore.
I remember when the going price was $20.
    Really good stuff was $25

Good for him. $200 is $200 back in their pockets.

Thats right. Anything to help the elderly at this point int time is great news. Those that are living on so little SS from just a few hundred dollars to those making a little over 1200 a month to the average pay out in SS at just over 1500 a month. 200 sure is better getting that amount instead of 200 taken away from them. Yes a small increase in COLA like 1.8% is the latest amount and then we will have it taken away in 2022 as Medicare will be raised up, so nice to enjoy a small raise and this 200 now cause less will happen in years to come.
