    Get it while it’s cheap!

Because your fiat FRN is doa, and has lost 97% of its worth in 50 years... Meanwhile, if you had put $100 in bitcoin when it was first available you would be a multimillionaire right now.

At the height of the Dutch tulip craze, a few tulip bulbs could buy a house !

At the end of the tulip craze, tulip bulbs were practically worthless.

Those who got in early and out at the zenith were rich... the rest were left holding tulip bulb bags!

    Not the same thing.
All credit and debit is already digital, all settlements beyond a few hundred dollars as well.
The central banks are heading to digital, blockchain, as are other payment tools like PayPal. The trend is your friend, and the trend ain’t to FRNs.
But by all means. Keep your FRNs. Put them in the bank... (oops, now digital), and they’ll pay you .005 percent interest.. many, many times less than inflation.
Or run with bitcoin, which has tripled in the last 6 months.

No, it's not the same thing. Tulip bulbs are REAL and have some value however small.

Those who think "but it's different this time around" are usually proven wrong.

Tulips, Bitcoin, Dollars, Gold/Silver, and just about anything else has subjective value. Not sure where you are going with this but the whole "intrinsic value" was really disproved 150 years ago.

If you eat alot of eggs - having some land with some chickens on them is REAL - everything else is tulips. So what's your point?

Interesting how the younger digital generation prefers intangibles.

For example, they like living minimalist lifestyles and prefer experiences over tangible objects [and have little interest in inheriting old family heirlooms.]

Just yesterday I was reading a topic on another forum promoting putting old family photos on digital and trashing the originals [which they said takes up too much space!] Maybe after they make [only PC] books digital, they will trash all hard copies!

If things continue to go all digital... when someone finally pulls the plug, thousands of years later there will not be much physical evidence of this generation left for future archaeologists to discover! But considering how evil and perverted this generation has become... that may be a blessing!
