Nancy Pelosi could finally be on her way out of Congress after Republican Rep. Doug Collins introduced on Monday a resolution pushing for the removal of the House Speaker.

The resolution questions Pelosi’s “mental fitness” to lead the House of Representatives – a role that has her third in the line of succession for President.

“Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s unwillingness to abide by the Constitution, combined with her recent actions, call into question her own mental fitness, which is why it’s critical that the House of Representatives demand her removal from the line of succession,” Collins said in a statement according to Fox News.

A draft of Collins’ resolution argues that Pelosi “is unable to adequately serve as Speaker of the House of Representatives and should therefore be removed from her position.”

The resolution further points out the time Pelosi has wasted, weaponizing the House of Representatives against the president to “pursue baseless and fruitless investigations” against President Trump and his administration, including launching an impeachment inquiry against him in the fall of 2019.

The resolution adds, “On October 31, 2019, Speaker Nancy Pelosi oversaw the first party-line vote to begin an impeachment inquiry into a president in the history of our country.”

Collins’ resolution states further examples of poor judgement by the Democrat Speaker, saying that Pelosi “ripped up the State of the Union speech” delivered by the president in February “before the American people.”

The resolution also states that Pelosi “visited a shuttered hair salon in San Francisco where she received a blow-out without wearing a mask in violation of San Francisco’s laws concerning the coronavirus;” and “cast blame on the salon’s owner for ‘setting her up.’”

“Over her tenure of her speakership, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has started to demonstrate a decline in mental fitness, calling into question her ability to adequately serve the House of Representatives and the American people,” the resolution continues.

Collins’ referenced an interview on ABC News where, according to the resolution, Pelosi “appeared confused and exhibited bizarre behavior” by “blurting out randomly ‘Good Morning, Sunday morning.’”

This resolution questioning Pelosi’s mental capability comes as she herself pushes for legislation that would create a commission allowing Congress to oust a president from office using the 25th Amendment – which calls for a president to be stripped of their powers if for some reason he or she is declared unfit under dire circumstances.

Section 4 of the 25th Amendment also states that a majority of “such other body as Congress may by law” determine if the president cannot discharge the powers and duties of his office.

The 25th Amendment was ratified in 1967, and Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin, alongside Pelosi, said last week, it’s time for Congress to set up this “body.”

The 17 members of the bipartisan commission would work with the vice president to determine whether the president is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office” due to physical or mental incapacity. Prospectively, that commission would adjudicate the need for a transfer of power.

President Trump and many others suspect that this could be the Democrats laying the groundwork for the removal of a potential President Joe Biden, in order to install his more radical running mate Kamala Harris as president.

Pelosi’s insistence on Friday that, “This is not about President Trump,” only added to that suspicion by the president and his allies.

Pelosi denied that the timing of the legislation had anything to do with the election and argued that setting up a commission on presidential capacity is needed to “give some comfort to people” on the stability of the government.

I think I recall that, in order to be elected Speaker in 2018, she agreed to serve only one term.
Back then, she had some opposition in her own party
