God is after your heart, not your actions. Your actions will follow the heart. This is the mistake of the Pharisees and also the modern day legalist - they try to change the actions where they really need the Holy Spirit to do surgery on their heart. All the legalist does is put band-aids on festering wounds as it has always been. Jesus has strong words for the legalist.
...But by all means, if you feel more holy by eating turkey bacon instead of real bacon I will not stand in your way. Just don't mislead others about holiness.
Legalist as opposed to IL-Legalist? Again, I'll follow Messiah...
Mat 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens.
Mat 7:22 “Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’
Mat 7:23 “And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’
I'll never call Messiah a liar...Mat 5:18 “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.
Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away
1Jn 2:7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
"The one who says he stays in Him is indebted to walk, even as He walked." 1Jn 2:6
Without Torah, His walk is impossible - it's Rome's walk without Torah.
