Backlash against US shop selling 'yellow star' Covid badges
A hat shop in the US state of Tennessee was hit with backlash on Saturday, one day after promoting a yellow star patch like those worn by Jews in Nazi-era Germany, labeled "not vaccinated."
------------------------------------------
The German government’s policy of forcing Jews to wear identifying badges was but one of many psychological tactics aimed at isolating and dehumanizing the Jews of Europe, directly marking them as being different (inferior) to everyone else.
Just a few random internet quotes from news sites I quickly pulled together that are paralleling the same narrative - Isolating, dehumanizing, marked as being different and inferior -
“Anti-vaxxers are like drunk drivers.”
“No-vaxxers I spoke with just don’t care.”
“If you are healthy and refuse to take the vaccine when your chance comes, you are a free rider. Human beings avoid being free riders because it is shameful and they care about their reputations.”
“You are being a bad citizen if you don’t.”
“Let’s just issue mandatory “I’M SELFISH!” T-shirts to those who refuse.”
“There is no absolute right to refuse vaccination”
“You won't get the vaccine? How do you live with knowing you're harming others?”
“White Republican men are the demographic group most likely to say they'll refuse the coronavirus vaccine.”
What an incredible psy-op. Exciting times, huh?
