Apparently, some stores are now requiring people to use an app on a smartphone to get into the store to buy food. They have to download a barcode or something. I don't understand the technology.

Digital prison for sure. It'll make sense to the sheep though. The store has to know who is in there, so, in case someone steals something, they'll narrow down the suspects?

The newest technology coming to a store near you is you buy ANY tobacco product, and no mater how old you are. you must show an ID like a drivers license, they then SCAN the license before your purchase is completed.
