We're starting to freeze much of what comes from the garden this summer. Just now starting seeds for a fall crop of beets, turnips, lettuce and radishes. Buying extra meat and canned vegetables as well. This drought will have a major impact on the entire country this winter (and beyond) and we're working to stay ahead of it. Already seeing meat and cheese shortages in stores.
We used to give away our surplus, but not any more. As far as friends (and some relatives) are concerned, we're having a bad year in the garden...
