Some people at Church Wednesday evening were talking about all the "dollar" type stores in our area running out of everything.

A Brother in a neighboring county told me that he and his wife went to a nearby supermarket last week and the shelves were not fully stocked. He also said the produce was very poor quality and some of it should have been thrown away. He overheard an employee say she didn't know what the store was going to do because they cannot get items to restock. She said that they place orders, but nothing is sent to them.

The best thing smart people can do at this point, if they don't have the means themselves, is to connect with a local organic farmer for fruits, vegetables, dairy and meat. The localized small farm market is going to become a huge business again, (coming full circle). Until then, container gardening could be a 'better than nothing' option for vegetables, such as in 5 gallon buckets.

Check out: Just a Few Acres Farm channel on YouTube. Loads of great information from a small farm owner.

California shuts down second-largest hydroelectric power plant due to extreme drought

(Natural News) The catastrophic drought in California has forced the state government to shut down one of its largest hydroelectric power plants. The Edward Hyatt Power Plant is California's second-largest conventional hydroelectric power station. It is located in the Lake Oroville reservoir in Butte County, northern California. The dam … [Read More...]

California based hydro power plants produce just 11.22% of the electrical power used in the state. Not much at first glance, but dependency on hydro electric power from out of state sources is anything but a sure thing, especially considering the magnitude of this drought all over the western US.
The state of California imports well over 28.5% of the 4 billion kilowatt-hours of electrical energy generated by the Hoover dam, which is also currently at far less than maximum output capabilities. Then there's the other edge of the sword - which is the lack of water needed to sustain life and agriculture, which is arguably far more critical than electrical power.

    Nowhere to run.

The video below is quite an eye opener for those seeking answers to what is taking place in the 'big picture', and what is coming at us like a runaway freight train in a tunnel. Not theory, not conjecture, just facts.

Most people will continue to bury their heads in the sand and pretend all is OK, after all, "ignorance is bliss", (which is why we find ourselves here today).

Time is very rapidly running out for the planet and humanity, we've not left ourselves with an escape route, or a 'Plan B'. The sixth mass extinction level event is underway and unavoidable at this point, but at least I can feel more comfortable knowing what lies ahead and why.

Sounds like food delivery and production are becoming part of national security.
