Joe Biden 'Jokes' About Not Really Being President but No One Is Laughing

For a while now, I’ve been decrying the trend of Democrats pushing for supposed “experts” to run every facet of the federal government. That has led to mediocre academics and bureaucrats being given extreme levels of power. Yet, while there are many different people who fit that description, no better example exists than Dr. Anthony Fauci.

I used to joke about the fame-obsessed doctor actually being the acting president. But because our politics only has one mode, which is to say always becoming crazier, Joe Biden is just outright admitting it now.

I know, I know, he’s “joking,” but is he really? Because the evidence we have sure seems to point in a different direction. After all, some of the best comedy is rooted in fact.

Just a few days ago, Biden was pressed on why his new “Africa ban” put in place to combat the new Omicron COVID-19 variant was not being enacted immediately. Instead, it was inexplicably starting on the next Monday. But what’s the point of a ban, if you are going to sit around for multiple days letting the virus enter the country anyway?

Now, a normal president would own that decision and explain exactly the reasoning behind it. Yet, Biden not only had no answer, but he deflected by claiming that the policy was developed by his “medical team,” which just so happens to be led by Fauci. That’s the pattern of Biden’s presidency, unable to ever take responsibility for anything, constantly conceding to unelected bureaucrats who have no business making major policy decisions.

But that’s exactly what’s happening. Per Fox News‘ write-up on Biden’s “joke,” it stemmed from a comment that Fauci is heavily involved in White House affairs.
President Biden joked on Thursday that Dr. Anthony Fauci is so involved in White House affairs that sometimes it feels like he is the real president.
During an address on the White House’s latest strategy to deal with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Biden opened by applauding Fauci, whom Biden said he sees more than his own wife. Biden went on to joke that Fauci is the real commander-in-chief.
“I’ve seen more of Dr. Fauci than I have my wife, we kid each other,” Biden quipped. “Look, who’s president? Fauci!”

Hilarious, but how has that worked out for the country? Has COVID-19 been “shut down” as Biden promised during the 2020 campaign? Have the lockdowns and mandates pushed by Fauci ended the pandemic? Haven’t more people died on Biden’s watch than Trump’s, and that’s with the former having vaccines on day one? Clearly, the good doctor being so involved has not led to good outcomes.

So while CNN anchors may find this kind of thing charming, I find it disturbing. Fauci was not elected to anything. He’s a government apparatchik that has presided over failure after failure. That he’s been so elevated the last year is a testament to just how incapable and unqualified Biden is for his position. In the private sector, Fauci would have been canned decades ago. Instead, he’s now basically the President of the United States, and he didn’t have to hold a single campaign event. Something is wrong with that picture.

That appraisal of the current regime may be on the ball.
And, if so, it applied to President Trump's regime as well.

    IMO it's not a joke
