Default “For we know that the TORAH IS SPIRITUAL, BUT I am fleshly...” Rom 7:14

These few verses really accomplish a great summary on the flesh vs Spirit battle. Remember earlier when he wrote “For we know that the TORAH IS SPIRITUAL, but I am fleshly...” Rom 7:14? He really “brings it home” in Rom 8, he concludes with these highlights -

Verse 1 - NO ONE in Messiah will be condemned WHO have cast aside walking in the flesh, but now walk in the Spirit.

2 - Messiah has freed us from the death penalty of Torah transgression (Rom 6:23).

3 - All have transgressed Torah (Rom 3:23, 7:7) through weakness of the flesh, EXCEPT Messiah Who kept Torah perfectly, thus condemning transgression/sin while IN the flesh.

4 - Walking in the Spirit, Torah will be OBEYED and fulfilled within us, no longer walking in the flesh.

5 - Flesh follows flesh, Spirit minds the matters of the Spirit.

6 - Flesh/carnal mind is death, Spiritually minded is life and shalom.

7 - The fleshly, carnal mind of death is hostile/hatred AGAINST YHUH. That mindset is not and cannot be subject to Torah.

8 - The hostile to Torah condition of the flesh CANNOT please YHUH.

9 - Not being of the flesh, you are in the Spirit IF the Spirit indwells you, IF not, you are not of Messiah, not one of His.

OK, that is very serious business. Without Torah instructions, the flesh wins the battle; no Spirit. No Spirit; no Messiah. That fails the qualifier of no condemnation in verse one. With all that in mind, let’s refocus on a few other serious things He talked about prior to this summation -

“For not the hearers of the Torah are righteous in the sight of Elohim, but THE DOERS of the Torah shall be declared right.” Rom 2:13

“Do we then NULLIFY the Torah through the belief? Let it not be! On the contrary, we ESTABLISH the Torah.” Rom 3:31

“What, then, shall we say? Is the Torah sin? Let it not be! However, I DID NOT KNOW SIN except through the Torah.” Rom 7:7, 1Jn 3:4

“What, then, shall we say? Shall we CONTINUE IN SIN, to let grace increase? Let it not be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?” Rom 6:1-2

“So that the TORAH TRULY IS SET-APART, and the COMMAND SET-APART, and RIGHTEOUS, and GOOD.” Rom 7:12

Now one can run to Galatians and try to bleach the eyes from what was just read, perhaps even gain some temporary comfort in sin, but the facts are you would be doing what you were forewarned NOT to do. Reading ANY of Paul’s writings with a Torahless mindset -

”...as also IN ALL his letters, speaking in them concerning these matters, in which some are HARD TO UNDERSTAND, which those who are untaught and unstable TWIST to their own destruction, as they do also the other Scriptures. You, then, beloved ones, being FOREWARNED, watch, lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the DELUSION OF THE LAWLESS...” 2Pe 3:16-17

Churchianity is in a real pickle. Their entire duty has been shirked, hijacked with deception resulting in delusion. A false spirit of emotion and tradition that overrides sound doctrine.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear Elohiym, and guard his commandments: for this is the WHOLE DUTY of man.” Ecc 12:13

The mystery of lawlessness was alive in Paul’s time (2Thes 2:7), and down through history. The so-called ‘father of Protestantism’ was adrift with a fleshly mind, confused with the perfection of Torah (Ps 19:7), also deluded with lawlessness. He admits his fallen condition -

“Mosaic prophets are not to CONFUSE US with Moses. WE DON’T WANT to see or hear MOSES.” Martin Luther

Will you decide to walk as Messiah set example (1Jn 2:6)? Can you break free from the deception of Torahless delusion? One would have to have a sincere love of the truth, and march to the beat of ALL of YHUH’s Words (Matt. 4:4), not a pastor, not family, not friends; loyalty to Him is foremost -

“The coming of the ‘lawless one’ (destitute of Torah) is according to the working of satan, with all power and signs and wonders of falsehood, and with all deceit of unrighteousness in those perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, in order for them to be saved. And for THIS REASON Elohim SENDS THEM a working of DELUSION, for them to believe the falsehood” 2Th 2:9-11

Are you seeing the pattern? DELUSION seems to be always linked to Torahlessness. Hmmm.

    Tick-Toc...
"The one who says he stays in Him is indebted to walk, even as He walked." 1Jn 2:6

Without Torah, His walk is impossible - it's Rome's walk without Torah.

What is this ToRah of which you speak? I can't find this word in any of my English translations. Is it the Ten Commandments? (Only)? The first five books of the "OLd" Testament? The ones reported to be written by Moses? The Pentateuch? The Writings? The Prophets? The Minor Prophets? The Dead Sea Scrolls? The so-called Apocrypha? Every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God? All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness...that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. May He continue the work He has started within us and carry it on to completion (perfection) until the anointing of righteousness is fully and perfectly formed in us, until the Day of Christ Jesus.

The only Torah. The same Torah Messiah walked, the Matt. 4:4 stuff EVERY WORD, but traditionally the first 5 books as the bedrock.
