The invitation and promise to the overcomers. Wonderful, isn't it?

Rev. 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Rev. 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

So, Jesus did not have the Adamic "genetic" defect, because His Father was not Adam, but God....so what did He overcome? He overcame the world. We "overcome" our Adamic nature by dying.

I also want to comment on Rev. 3:12, which you eliminated the second part of the first clause....Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out:

Go no more out? It's as if we, if we fail to overcome, are sent out again? Until we "get it"?

Interesting that you talk of a genetic trait. We do need a change of our Levi's jeans (genes) don't we? This might make a good Bible study next week. Thanks
