Default Solstice - Tis The Reason For The Season!

Solstice is a great time to consider not the ‘rebirth’ of the sun, but the actual birthing of abject paganism. One should know why they do these things so they can make an informed choice on whether they really want to follow Messiah, or follow along with the world.

Constantine decreed (March 7, 321) DIES SOLIS — the day of the Sun, "Sunday" — as the Roman day of rest “On the venerable day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed.”

During the fourth century, the emperor Constantine falsely "converted" to "Christianity" and changed Sabbath keeping from the seventh to the first day of the week. Sunday was the day he had worshiped the sun as his god. This made it easier for the Romans to call their pagan December 25th winter solstice festival, in which they had celebrated the birth of the sun god, the birthday of the "son of god."

And thus the floodgates of paganism and lies were swung open. With no Scriptural support, a false birth-date came into play, a fat man in a red suit, people cutting down trees to drag into the house fully - adorned with pagan symbols of sexual nature everywhere. All the trappings are pagan leftovers that the church swallows up and embraces. In Messiah, all those things were to have been left behind -

“But then, indeed, not knowing Elohim, you served those which by nature are not mighty ones. But now after you have known Elohim, or rather are known by Elohim, how do you turn again to the weak and poor elementary matters, to which you wish to be enslaved again? You closely observe days and months and seasons and years.” Gal 4:8-10

”...Concerning the feasts of Yahuah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy assemblies, even THESE ARE MY FEASTS.” Lev 23:2

The real stuff or the fake stuff? If you don’t think it matters to Him, you truly do not know Him. Ignorance of these matters can only carry you so far...time to repent and turn!

Seriously, I think they want their holidays back, judging from this angry pagan meme I ran across. After all, they did have them first! No worries, those who are truly seeking YHUH are rejecting the lies and returning to HIS true appointed times. It's what He's wanted for us all along.

Actually, the Roman winter solstice festival that was celebrated was Saturnalia. It lasted a week, from the 17th of December through the 23rd. And it was in honor of the Roman God Saturn...not the sun.

I've never seen Christmas ornaments that fit such a description.

    From a quick search...

"In pagan ritual, the evergreen tree is a phallic symbol, with the balls and tinsel representing the testicles and semen; while the wreath is symbolic of a woman's vaginal opening and the red bow usually placed on it symbolic of the blood that issues..."

    Mithra, Nimrod...

What is wrong about sexual symbols? The Bible has lots of sex in it?
As for the falsehoods spread about by churches, and their Talmudic doctrines, You have plenty to shoot down.

Now that Christmas is not a current issue, what we going to do about Abib, Moons & Passover? All that happened in Egypt. How can one honor Yahuah's Passover and the other celebrations He commanded, when there is so much confusion about the words describing the timing of these events, in my mind especially?

Barley (abib) is being sought right now in Israel. Looks to be ready any day now! Best guess (if abib soon) for the calendar this year:

YHUH’s Calendar 2023 (earliest possible) First Full Moon at 4:47 am on March 7 will be observed on the evening of March 6 making March 7 ABIB 1. Pesach March 20 Chag haMatzot March 21 to March 27 —seven days First Fruits March 26 Shavuot May 14 Seventh Full Moon at 6:36 pm on August 30 will be observed that same evening making August 31 Yom Teruah Yom Kippurim September 9 Sukkot September 14 to September 21 —eight days Shemini Atzeret September 21 — the last Great Day!

    Ye haw!
