As I said, to each their own. Personally, I see nothing evil about Christmas. But then again, I don't see anything inherently evil about paganism. There's no one size fits all approach to life. Happy New Year!

Without Torah, His walk is impossible - it's Rome's walk without Torah.

Nah. My kids are a bit too old for Santa. Christmas these days is more about spending time with family than anything else. As far as my "desires"...well, that's between me and the misses.

Did you have to tell them he was a lie or did they find out later?

They just grew out of it. I think kids figure it out sooner than most adults think. Why do you ask?

Just reminded me of the lies parents tell their kids. A few years back a friends child, 8 or so, was preparing his lost tooth for the 'tooth fairy'. I asked, "you don't still believe in the tooth fairy, do you"? Oh man. He said "Sissy (his sister) has seen the tooth fairy, she's real!". Straight to Mom he went, and boy was she pissed. Had her husband come talk to me. After our discussion, he'd admitted they had waited too long and would have to tell them the truth. Lies are so much fun, huh?

I can see why she would be upset. It's not your place to say anything. How they raise their kids is their business. As far as "lies" go, I don't think that Santa or the tooth fairy are as bad as the one some tell their kids about a boogeyman named Satan.

And yet, their father admitted their mistake.
