The Cults Of Denominational Christianity -
With some 40,000 “christian” denominations, how would any new converts know if they were indoctrinated into a cult or not? Perhaps they are all just different flavors of one age-old cult of popery? After all, Messiah Himself said many would agree with you that He is indeed Messiah, yet they also would deceive many (Matt 24:5, Mar 13:6). False prophets abound (1Jn 4:1), wolves abound (Matt 7:15, 10:16, Lk 10:3, Act 20:29), false teachers (2Pet 2:1), vain traditions - commandments of men that that nullify His Word (Matt 15:9, Mar 7:7). Those are just a brief sampling of many considerations. It’s truly a minefield out there. One that all must navigate for themselves.
“For there MUST BE HERESIES among you, that they which ARE APPROVED may be made manifest among you” 1Co 11:19.
“Study to show YOURSELF APPROVED to Elohim, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling THE WORD OF TRUTH” 2Ti 2:15
“PREACH THE WORD; be ready in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall TURN AWAY their ears FROM THE TRUTH, and shall be turned unto fables” 2Ti 4:2-4.
Cults won’t want you to unpack too deeply the words above. They are not to keen for you to realize that when those verses were written, there was no “new testament”, the “Word of Truth” spoken of was everything to the left of what we have now. The warning concerns those who would turn you away “FROM THAT TRUTH”. What is that truth? The established principle foundation for truth is - ”Torah is the Truth” Psa 119:142 - His perfect truth (Ps 19:7). Have you been turned from that? If so, you are in a cult. Let’s prove that.
Even cults will tell you repentance is necessary, we’ve all sinned and fallen short. What they will not tell you is how our Creator defines sin. “Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the Torah: for SIN IS the transgression of the Torah” 1Jn 3:4. That’s His universal definition. It changes for no man, and applies to all men (Ex 12:49, Num 15:29). This simple fact drives the cults nuts, which makes no sense. Only a true enemy would not want you to identify sin, and then want to deny you His promises from turning from that sin -
“The TORAH of Yahuah is PERFECT, RESTORING the soul: the testimony of Yahuah is SURE, making WISE the simple. The statutes of Yahuah are RIGHT, REJOICING the heart: the commandment of Yahuah is PURE, ENLIGHTENING the eyes. The fear of Yahuah is CLEAN, ENDURING FOREVER: the judgments of Yahuah are TRUE and RIGHTEOUS altogether. More to be desired are they than GOLD, yea, than much fine gold: SWEETER also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is your servant WARNED: and in guarding of them there is GREAT REWARD” Psa 19:7-11. Cults teach this as a form of legalistic bondage, something to avoid at all costs! Are you in a cult?
When Yah calls something PERFECT, there is no room for improvement. How strongly does He feel about it? “He that turns away his ear from hearing the Torah, even his prayer shall be abomination” Pro 28:9. He won’t hear sinners (Jn 9:31), so we see nothing has changed. Why do the cults not teach this? Cults teach people to not even believe Messiah. Messiah said we are to live by “Every Word” of YHUH (Matt 4:4), and that heaven and earth would pass away before the least bit of Torah could (Matt 5:18). Cults are getting easier to spot now, aren’t they?
One of their best schemes thus far is to try to enlist Paul as their excuse to avoid the plain truths listed above. It’s a trap for the unlearned and unstable. Easy pickins’ for those with no foundation - a path that leads to destruction - reading Paul’s writings with a Torahless mindset (2Pet 3:16-17); with delusion as the outcome. Paul taught that he had not known how to identify sin without Torah, as we discussed above (Rom 7:7), and that we are to cease from that sin (Rom 6:1-2), and that only the carnal mind cannot submit to Torah (Rom 8:7)! The solution? “Do we then make void the Torah by faith? NEVER!: yea, we ESTABLISH the Torah” Rom 3:31.
All the cults hate Torah. It’s just that simple. A couple of the greatest hallmarks of cults is to teach in opposition to His set-apart matters. His Sabbaths and eating real food top the list. That’s a huge giveaway that you are in a cult.
“Her priests have done violence to My Torah and they profane My set-apart matters. They have not distinguished between the set-apart and profane, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean. And they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I AM PROFANED in their midst. “Her leaders in her midst are like WOLVES” Eze 22:26-27. There’s how you identify wolves! Cults would have you believe Messiah or Paul would teach this impossibility, making themselves wolves! YES THEY DO! The wolves love company!
The cults love mama Rome’s sun-day, their pagan festivals, and swine on the table. They don’t mind profaning YHUH at all. Do you mind? Do you think for yourself? Cults don’t like that when you do. They have their own guidelines, their creeds and confessions. Here’s a real litmus test: “The one who says he stays in Him MUST himself also to walk, even as He walked” 1Jn 2:6.
MUST walk as He set example, INDEBTED to do so. He said His doctrine came from Abba (Jn 7:16), Abba said His good doctrine was Torah (Pro 4:2). Messiah walked out Torah perfectly, not as our excuse to defy - but as our example to follow. He could not add to, nor take away from Torah (Dt 4:2). Have you been taught otherwise? If so, you have been taught a counterfeit messiah. Duped with an impostor. If you are in Torahless, denominational christianiy, you are in a dangerous cult. “I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’ Mat 7:23.
The cult of christianity is not the path that few will find (Matt 7:14).
"The one who says he stays in Him is indebted to walk, even as He walked." 1Jn 2:6
Without Torah, His walk is impossible - it's Rome's walk without Torah.
