    Default Book suggestions sticky

I was wondering if anyone can create a book suggestion sticky and the members add to it. I see several books recommended in various threads but then it gets lost in the shuffle.I know I want to read "patriots" I think it is and "The creature" There were several others that were mentioned in threads last night. Something called John Galt or a book with that charater in it.What other books along these lines would you all recommend?ThanksBG

Unintended Consequences is a must read.

I have chosen to serve free men, and if we as warriors serve free men, we must love freedom more than we love our own lives. -- Sergeant First Class Stefan Mazak, 5th Special Forces Group

I just finished "Patriots" and it is a very good read. Some other books I would recommend:

Living Off The Land In The City And The Country
Can You Survive by Robert DePugh (the old Minutemen founder)
Total Resistance by Maj. H. Von Dach
    Life After Doomesday (somewhat dated)
    Putting Food By
    the entire Foxfire series

The Foxfire series is good because it details crafts and skills the Appalachian mountain people had from log cabin construction to making moonshine and everything in between.

    "Patriots (Surviving the Coming Collapse)"
    James Wesley, Rawles

Prepper handbook disguised as a novel. I am about 100 pages into it so far. He also writes www.survivalblog.com

What an excellent resource. Someone else here suggested it, I am not sure who but thank you!

I'll suggest my own two stories, 'Deep Winter' and 'Shatter'. Haven't heard of them? Shoot me an email or PM. I'll shoot back a PDF.

Be warned though, you need to step away from the stories. They'll suck you in sure as shootin'.

I read Lucifer's Hammer years ago. It was a really good book. My Dad is still mad at me for losing it.
