Well I finished "The Road" in one day. What an eye opener and a sad book.

But what is really the eye opener is," The creature of Jekyll Island" I have only read 2 chapters and my jaw is already on the floor in light of todays economic news. The author wrote the book in 1996. It reads like the banking system of the last few years. Incredible.

By the way it is a VERY big book, but the guy wrote it in such a way that you can skim and get the gist, and the info is not too much.

    Def recommend them both.

has many of the books listed here.
Some of them are available with free shipping.
I just ordered 8 books including 2 of Ayn Rand's books, as well as a book on home canning, a book on pressure cooking, and a book for saving seeds.
    I spent less than $50.00!

    Cool Library Thing...

I like it! I may set mine up. Did it take you long? I didn't count your books, but looked like many. Came to this forum to put a question out for interested others: I'm in search of American Indian descendants of Indians involved with the shaping of the new colonies. Reading a fascinating book called "The Name of War" (author Lenore) about King Philips war (Sachem Metacom) with the colonists in 1676. Does anyone in this forum know of helpful resources for locating descendants of those American Indians who pledged loyal to the colonists? I haven't finished this very fine book yet. It is a disturbing and enthralling book (this coming from someone who never like history much). I recommend it as an addition to your personal library!

I have not forgotten that one, just have not gotten that far yet. I will, I loved Deep winter and am looking forward to Shattered.
