    Chicken and Gravy

    4-6 chicken breasts
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper ( more if you like)
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4-1/2 tsp. seasoned salt ( depends on your preference)

Mix all ingredients except chicken. Put enough in bottom of crock pot to cover the bottom. Add chicken breasts and cover with remaining soup mixture. Cook on high for 5-6 hrs depending on how thick chicken breasts are.

My family likes this over egg noodles or mashed potatoes.

Smile Favorite Roast Recipe (Super Easy)

Combine 1 packet dry gravy mix (flavor depends on your roast) 1 packet
Italian dressing mix and 1 packet Ranch dressing mix.

Put roast in bottom of crock pot. Dump combined dry ingredients on roast.
Add 1 cup water. Cover and cook on low 6 hours or high 3-4 hours.

The dry mixes combine with the water and make a really good gravy. Great over mashed potatoes or as hot-open face sandwiches.
I have also made this with potatoes and carrots in the crock pot.

I have used this recipe to make pork tenderloin, boston butt, chuck roast, rump roast. They all turn out great.

Could also be use with game (venison, etc. - just match a dry gravy mix to compliment your game meat.

Cream of mushroom soup- is there anything it can't do?

    shredded chicken
    -boneless skinless chicken
-1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted

spoon soup over chicken, cook on low 8 hours. shred chicken into- well, shreds using 2 forks. If too thin, thicken with crushed crackers. Also very good over rice or noodles or toast. Throw in a can of veggies for variety... cut into chunks instead of shreds, add a can of peas & carrots, serve over rice and viola- chicken ala king.

I do the same deal with beef roast- add some cut up potatoes & carrots (put on bottom) add meat, put soup on top.

You can do some killer BBQ pork same as the chicken except use BBQ sauce, then shred for sandwiches or serve over beans, rice, pasta, etc. I usually drain off extra liquid when it's done cooking then throw in some extra BBQ sauce to kick it back up, since the BBQ sauce you put in at the begining gets diluted from the moisture of the cooking process.

Crock Pot cooking ROCKS!!! Plus come the summer you won't have to heat up your kitchen

    Default Beef & Noodles

very similar to the above recipes:

    in crock pot add:

2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can (of above) of water
    1 beef boulion cube
    1 packet onion soup mix

throw a package of stew meat (or any chopped meat, really) into a hot frying pan to brown (not cook) on all sides.

add seared meat to the crockpot.

cooking time depends on how much time you have. you can let this heat on low all day long or cook it on high for a few hours. the meat turns out super, super tender. we serve this over egg noodles but you can use your favorite starchie product.

    Default Crock Pot Garlic Poultry

poultry (I use 2 quarts of canned or leftover, it's a great way to use dove, wild turkey, or other gamey poultry - you can use raw meat, too )
    6 cloves minced garlic
    3 T soy sauce
1/4 c dried chives (or twice that fresh chopped)
    1 c broth or water

cook all that for about 3 hours on High if the meat was raw, or an hour if it was canned/cooked and then add in:

    4 T butter
    2 T olive oil
6 heaping T flour (I use whole wheat)
    4 cloves minced garlic
    1 T soy sauce

Cook another hour or so, taste and adjust the seasonings, serve over rice or pasta.
