    Default Chokecherry Syrup

Found this recipe online a few years ago. It is really tasty, especially on buttermilk waffles. It freezes well.

We have a whole driveway lined with chokecherries so we pick them make jelly and syrup. Sometimes the jelly does not jell so we wind up with unintentional syrup.
The picked berries can be washed, put into a freezer and boiled later for syrup or jelly.
Great over sour dough waffles and hotcakes.
