DHS Preparing For Civil War In The US?

Recent massive ammo purchases by US domestic agencies, Obama's Executive Order to prepare for martial law and recent anti-protests laws all point to one thing.

The US Department of Homeland Security and the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Office have placed a massive order for ammunition. The two departments are asking for 450 million rounds of bullets to be delivered in a time-frame of five years. The contractor, Alliant Techsystems, was awarded the contract and will produce .40 caliber high-performance bullets to the agencies. The order has many wondering why would DHS and ICE need so many bullets. David Seaman, journalist and host of the DL Show, helps us answer why the order was placed.

Now I wonder why they would be 'loading up' for a gun fight....could it be O's re-election? Some kind of racially motivated social unrest? Maybe economic melt-down; I'll go with the latter....guess I'll have to tell my friends to 'load up' as well. DH only has a couple of hunting rifles...so that will leave us out..he's not into conspiracy or doomer stuff; says I'm silly.

While the basic facts are straight, I have trouble with RT being a good source overall.

That order is for hollow points.
They can not be used for a military operation.
There is no point in ordering hollow points for target practice.

Those bullets are only for killing Americans.

I have a friend who works for Dept of State Diplomatic Security, they only practice with the same rounds they carry for duty and they are hollow points. Same with many local PD's.

Actually considering that this is the government placing the order there is more than a good chance that many of these rounds are destined for being used as target practice. The fact that they are or aren't hollow points was probably not even a consideration when placing the order when trying to distinguish between the rounds being used for target practice vs the rounds to be distributed for deployment to the field.

To think otherwise is to give some stupid bureaucrat way to much credit for having the ability to think logically. And if you believe, even for a second that the person placing the order was worried about what was most cost effective for the tax payer and usage you have forgotten that this is the government that we are talking about.

450 million rounds is a lot of ammo, but if delivered over a period of 5 years, thats only 90,000,000 rounds per year. That also works out to only 246,575 rounds per day. I don't know how many people will be using them, but does that really sound too far fetched for target practice?

For those wondering if its anything to do with the upcoming election, I doubt it, or this wouldn't be an order over the next 5 years. Seems they would want delivery prior much, much sooner.
