The "Woman Within". I love their items. Well made and ... I bought their Large and guess what? It honestly still fit AFTER it was washed.
I recently bought a new pair of pjs at Wal-Mart. I bought a size 1x cause I can NOT stand tight things to sleep in. I just sew up the sides of the bottoms if they are too big. Well ... six washes later and they are now smaller than my old L sizes which are many years old and so many washes later I couldn't count. They also give lots of good discounts. 1-800-347-6025 womanwithin.com They carry everything for bigger women. Including bathing suits and bras and some sports stuff.

That's what I like about ethnic clothing - saries (spell?), Amish and Mennonite dresses, some of the wrapped skirts you see African women in, indigenous Mexican dress, and the Hawaiian dresses. Hawaiian women tend to be very large, but some of the prettiest women I've ever seen were wearing those typical long floral ruffled dresses.
Lovely and dignified at the same time. |

It's interesting to see this concept flourish and overweight people in the spotlight. You'd think someone would have come up with this much sooner.
However, pick up any major national magazine and look for the fat people. They're still conspicuously missing. Much the same way Blacks were ignored on TV back in the 50's. That's the first thing I do with any new magazine in a waiting area is scan it for the fat people. Still not represented. |

BF told his obese nine year old niece that she would be thinner if she lived with us (her mother literally stuffs the girl with junk food). Maybe he thought it was a "teaching" sort of comment???? |
