Here is the book I'm reading now,

The Coming American Dictatorship by John Silveira
It started out as an article in Backwoods Home magazine, somewhere around 2000 and has expanded to 10 or 11 articles and now is in book form.
I bought my copy from Backwoods Home Mag. and don't know of any other source.

"A Well Regulated Militia" by John J. Carpenter. A novel about Islamic-backed mexicans taking over the southwestern U.S. and the rag-tag groups of America's militias trying to stop them.
"98.6 Degrees. The Art Of Keeping Your Ass Alive" by Cody Lundin. A very fun and easy-to-read survival book.
"When All Hell Breaks Loose. Stuff You Need To Survive When Disaster Strikes" by Cody Lundin. A more detailed follow-up of his first book. This guy is a SERIOUS outdoorsman.
"American Warrior. A Combat Memoir Of Vietnam" by Brig. Gen. John C. "Doc" Bahnsen, Jr. A story of one of the most decorated soldiers of the Vietnam war.

Default Cut Its funds

The only way the system can hold up is by paying our own soldiers and police to control us. Its held up by a bogus banking system. Income taxes are not
strictly legal, and the entire banking system is based upon fraud. I know of
some who have not volunteered to pay the voluntary income tax for many years.
The other thing you must realize, if you a Believer in Christ, is that "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling
down of strong holds. There is real power in spiritual warfare. Pray against the forces of darkness, and for those who spitefully use you. Jesus did. The servant is not greater than his master.

The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Read it long before the movie. It really draws you in.

Default No bookworm here

Not a big fan of reading, but when I read its never fiction. Currently just finished Machine Shop Training Course, Vol 1 by Franklin Jones. If we don't end up in the 7th century in the next few years this knowledge will be helpful. Wrench

Thumbs up

I just finished this, it was OUTSTANDING.

"How To Overcome The Most Frightening Issues You Will Face This Century"

Our very own Shane wrote the chapter on nuclear armageddon.

Very informative & practical info.

I was not expecting it to have such a wonderfully encouraging Christian tone to it, and I did not find it overbearing or preachy. Even though I was reading about all these dreadful things it was still infused with hope throughout, refrencing prophesy, etc. This was an added unexpected bonus for me.

I had to read Metamorphosis in college and then used my college books when homeschooling my youngest son in high school. Metamorphosis was one of things he read for his senior English class.

Right now I'm reading Deep Winter by T. Sherry again for the 3rd time.
