Can't say I would never eat one. It would depend on how long since my last meal.
I'm reminded of a line from the old movie 'Hombre' where he was on the stagecoach with the Indian agent and his wife.
The agent's wife was in a conversation with Hombre about life on the Indian reservation, where he had spent some time.
She made a remark about how the Indians would eat the camp dogs and said 'I could never bring myself to eat a camp dog'. To which he replied, "Lady, have you ever been hungry, not just when it's time for supper, but when your belly swells out? Yeah, you'd eat dog and fight over the bones"
In the land of plenty, it's hard to conceive that we would ever be in a situation where that's all we had to eat, but it happened once upon a time.
Could it happen again?
Psalms 13:6
"I will sing unto the Lord,
because he hath dealt bountifully with me".
