It was a distraction for the failed assassination attempt of the Saudi Prince. There is video of him being rushed through a casino lobby with armed personnel pointing, yelling raise your hands. The guys pointing were his body guards but there was one female sheriff in trail.
One thing is certain two weeks after the Prince returned to Saudi he arrested many of his family members and close associates. Some were killed, others were tortured and had their wealth confiscated. Very strange thing to happen, the Prince cleaned house after the attempt.
