Default New TV series "Revolution" about no-electricity world?

Anyone here heard about an upcoming TV series from J.J. Abrams called "Revolution"? I caught a trailer on YouTube, apparently it's set 15 years after something causes electricity to stop working.

http://www.nbc.com/revolution/

The piece I saw shows people using bows and crossbows and muskets -- only 15 years after the power goes out. Anyway, there's a trailer at the link above.

Lights Out was explainable....as in, why the power was gone. Dies the Fire was much more **interesting** in the way that "common laws of physics" no longer applied...

Sounds a little like 2000-2002's "Dark Angel."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Angel_(TV_series)

<snip>
In 2009, a genetically enhanced, 9-year-old female super-soldier who calls herself Max Guevara (Jessica Alba), escapes along with eleven others like herself from a secret government institution, codenamed Manticore, where they were born, raised and trained to be soldiers and assassins. On June 1, 2009, months after Max's escape, terrorists detonate an electromagnetic pulse weapon in the atmosphere over the U.S., which destroys the vast majority of computer and communication systems, throwing the country into utter chaos.
The first season begins ten years later in 2019, as it follows the life of the now 19-year-old Max as she struggles to search for her Manticore brothers and sisters. In a United States which is now barely more than a Third World nation, she tries to live her life, evade capture, and learn to trust and love...

I was thinking the same thing, although apparently gunpowder and other things work that didn't in "DTF." Part of the plot line is a search for a device that will turn the power back on, and there's a scene of someone operating a really old-fashioned computer.

I'll give it four episodes before cancellation.

Or it will be hugely popular and they will cancel it.
