Earthquake topic on C2C last night

I only caught a few minutes but the guest said something about there were reports of swarms of frogs right before the earthquake in China. What peaked my interest is he said the same thing is being repoted now in bakersfield, and that's just a few hours away.

I lived in the bay Area when the 89 quake hit and it was very scary, I was just starting highschool. I haven't felt any earthquakes here, with the exception of a tremor or two (I'm very sensitive to them) in the 17 years in this town, and I really hope we don't get hit here.

I lived in LA for over 30 years and experienced many big shakers in my time there. I distinctly remember 1989 as I was watching the World Series pre-game show on TV when suddenly everything started jumping and the picture was lost. I knew it was a big earthquake.

Life on the left coast includes learning to live with earthquakes. We'll soon know how prescient the frogs are. For your sake I hope they're wrong.

Someday, I'll tell you all about the earthquake of "1949" in Washington State west coast, I was in the 2nd grade. It was a 7.2 magnitude, and was very scarey.

On Sygyzy Job board, Job reports seeing the same kind of elongated "sun dogs" that were seen in China 2 days prior to the EQ. I gather that he is in CA. Another poster in Roseville, CA chimed in that they had seen the same clouds too. Both parties observed these clouds yesterday, 05/20.

Time will tell.

Yep that earthquake in Washington 1949 was a big one, I lived on Bainbridge Island and it shook everything. I am not sure but didn't that have a tidal wave with it that hit cresent Ca. There was so many earthquakes , The one in Alaska, where whole streets caved in was a big one also.

Irene texas, the quake you're mentioning, the one where waves hit Cresent City, California, was the Alaska quake in the 60's.

My husband mentioned something about strange clouds too in relation to the China earthquake, but when he went to find the pics he couldn't find them. Anyone with links to these weird cloud pics would be appreciated. I haven't seen any weird clouds or bunches of frogs here, but hearing this happened in China and now Bakersfield is creepy.
